Dr Ortis Yankey
Ortis is a Research Fellow and a Geospatial Data Analyst with the Worldpop Research Group. His research interests include Bayesian models, spatial and spatial temporal epidemiology, and health/medical geography. His current research focuses on applying Bayesian and spatial statistical models for population estimates for low- and middle-income countries. He also focuses on examining the spatial and spatiotemporal distribution of health outcomes among low-income populations. He gained his Ph.D. in Geography from Kent State University in Ohio, USA in 2022, an MSc in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Akron (Ohio, USA) in 2018 and an MSc in Urbanisation and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) in 2015.
