Jen joined WorldPop in March 2025 as Research Project Manager within the PMO, to support the FuturePop project.

She has over 20 years’ experience in designing and delivering projects in a wide range of sector, but specifically for development and peacebuilding. She holds an interdisciplinary PhD in Web Science from the University of Southampton, where her research focused on the role of new technologies for peacebuilding. During her studies, she co-founded Build Up, a social enterprise working at the intersection of technology, civic engagement and peacebuilding, gaining global field experience in mixed methods research. Build Up curated an international community of practice on the ways to ethically integrate new technologies in peacebuilding processes that goes on today.

Her previous roles have included large research project management in computer science, politics and international relations at the University of Southampton, organisational development, mentoring, capacity building, and internal and external communications.
