Dr Aubrey Steingraber
Aubrey joined Worldpop as a Specialist GIS Technician in 2023.
She received BAs in Anthropology/Archaeology and East Asian Studies at Western Washington University (2012) and her MA in Medieval Archaeology at University of York (2014). After working as a staff archaeologist and field director in the United States, she returned to the University of York to complete her PhD in Archaeology (2022) where her research explored medieval borderland processes through the physical and cultural landscapes of the medieval Anglo-Scottish border. After completing her PhD, Aubrey became a GIS specialist for Headland Archaeology and contributed to the development of the company’s digital field recording systems, data management processes, and staff GIS training programme.
